ECP for Heart Attack and Heart Failure
ECP for Heart Failure
ECP reduces the workload of the heart and so supports patients with Heart failure. ECP has been demonstrated as a safe adjunct therapy for heart failure. Efficacy results suggest that ECP can improve exercise tolerance capacity, quality of life and functional status, both in the short term and also for a period of 6 months after completion of the EECP therapy.

ECP following Heart Attack
After a heart attack, part of the heart muscle dies. By improving blood flow back through the coronary arteries ECP therapy can reduce angina and extend the time to ischaemia and increase exercise tolerance. Studies have demonstrated that ECP therapy can be offered as a safe treatment option for patients who have left ventricular dysfunction and angina pectoris.
